Belén Abdala is originally from Argentina and currently lives in Houston, Texas. She served as Treasurer, bringing a strong background in financial oversight, compliance, and nonprofit administration. Trained in Law in Argentina, she previously worked at the Court of Auditors (Tribunal de Cuentas) in the jurisprudence section.
Belén has hands-on experience in nonprofit financial management, having served as Treasurer for LEAH (La Escuela Argentina de Houston), where she oversaw institutional finances, ensured regulatory compliance, and collaborated closely with the board and administration to support financial transparency and sustainability.
She is married and the mother of two daughters—one in college and one in high school. In her free time, she enjoys nature and art, and after moving to Houston discovered a passion for painting, which she continues to pursue through classes.
