Artist statement
I grew up on a ranch raising and showing livestock and horses. Agriculture is in my blood so naturally it comes out in many of my Western works. The fond memories of my childhood and life events spur my creations and inspire my directions in art.
To prevent burnout, I like to stay diversified in my work with both mediums, subjects and services. This is whyy ou’ll see anything from oils to acrylics and watercolors to sculptures within my portfolio. My studio routinely has 10+ projects in production at the same time ranging from various paintings, sculptures and pottery. I can spin my chair around to work on different easels or clay projects on a whim. While something is drying, another piece is waiting for my attention, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My vision and goal with my artwork is to learn, create and master all that I can during the time that God continues to give me. There is no other passion in Life that I possess more than art.
It is important to me to have my followers, art collectors and lovers of art all feel a deep connection of awe and fondness to what they observe in my artwork while also finding a strong interest in the stories of how they became.
